RAH

My biggest coping strategy at the moment is to Think Positive.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but it does mean that I need to counter that last blog post. I'm still an amazing person who can do, does do and has done great things. There are objective reasons why I'm not doing as well as people would like me to, but I can rectify this and I WILL get better. If I have to I can leave. Other doors always open. I've been immensely strong so far.

And nobody has the right to invade my thoughts and my confidence to the extent that just one person has. They have not treated me well, and it won't help for me to internalise everything and think of myself as a waste of space. I am NOT.

So there.

You are very, very right. That positive thinking business is an excellent system. Keep it up!

There's nothing worse than struggling unsupported in a job - you have my every sympathy. I used to dread waking up in the morning sometimes. But knowing you it won't be forever... I hope you're planning a way out / forward / sideways. Good luck!

Well done! A brilliant riposte to the forces of darkness. You're an inspiration to us all. Hang in there x

Comment from Ragged Thread: "YES !! Damn right. If only we didn't have negative mirrors in such prominent places. Funnily enough I've had a situation this very night - a very good friend dissing me for blogging, despite telling her about the confidence it's given me and the friends I've made, albeit in cyberspace. They are still real friends I'm grateful to know. So glad you've posted this. Been worrying about you! xx"

Love, you are one of the most amazing people I have ever met and it deeply saddens me to think of anyone dissing you: stick with the positive and (as and when/if you need to) feel free to yell for support and encouragement and express your despair too. You are entitled to feel however you feel, and to be validated for that feeling --- but those out there in cyberspace, and in your (real) life will happily offer you what you need to take the positive road again.

Much love xxx
